My daughter gave me this recipe, and made it when she came over during the snowstorm!
31/2 cups flour
1 heaping tablespoon of yeast
1/2 tablespoon salt
3 tablespoons of sugar
13/4 cups water
pizza pan or jelly roll pan covered with baking paper
Tomato Sauce
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
3 tablespoons olive oil
small can of tomato paste
2 cans of water
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
In large bowl place yeast, sugar and water. When it bubbles, or after 2-3 minutes, add the rest of the ingredients and knead until it forms a ball.
Cover and let it rest for 1/2 hour.
In the meantime, cook the onions and garlic in the oil until the onion is translucent. Add the rest of the ingredients and cook for 5 minutes.
When the dough is ready, preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Spread half of the dough on a pizza pan or a jelly roll pan. (This recipe will make 2 pans full.)
Cover with half of the sauce, and bake for 15 minutes . Enjoy!
