It can get very cold out in the winter, and what is better than a warm hat made by your Grandma's Girl? Come join us as we learn how to make our very own hats!
We need :
a piece of fleece that will go around her head comfortably plus 1 inch, by 12 inches. Be careful that the stretch of the fleece goes around her head.
needle and thread
trimming(felt flowers, for example)

We sew up the side of the felt that is the width of her head with a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
Then we sew along one open side
We turn the hat right side out, and fold up a few inches for a brim.
The two pointy ends on top get sewn together.

On the brim we sew fabric flowers or other trim. (See Grandma's Girls headbands post for instruction on how to make felt flowers.) Or we color pictures with indelible markers!
And here is our beautiful new hat that we made and designed ourselves! Hurray!
